We are an unopposed program with an emphasis on the core aspects of Family Medicine. Established in 1974 to serve the primary care needs of the Indianapolis east side, our residency is well respected in our Network, and our residents are given a high degree of patient responsibility throughout the three years of training. In our three clinical centers of training (Family Medicine Center, Maternity Care Center, and Pediatric Care Center), we have integrated our medical records using an electronic health record system that enables our residents to access office records when in the hospital or at home. Each resident is provided a laptop to enhance ease of patient care and data management. Our excellent faculty members have a variety of backgrounds (including MD and DO physicians), interests and experience. We are committed to community outreach with involvement at Warren Central High School, Miller's Merry Manor East Convalescent Center, Genessaret and community health fairs. We are fully accredited by the ACGME and have had an excellent pass rate on the Family Medicine Board Certification Exam. You won't find a friendlier environment in which to train. Please let us know what other information we can provide for you or if we could arrange for you to visit.

The Family Medicine Residency Program at Deaconess Hospital provides in-depth training in the delivery of comprehensive family-oriented health care. The three-year residency program is unopposed and community-based. Since its inception in 1975, the Residency Program has had continuous ACGME accreditation.
The program focuses on the holistic approach to patient care, in the true tradition of family medicine. The residents enjoy a modest in-house call schedule that allows for balance to work and family. A focus on resident camaraderie promotes teamwork and support within the "resident family" both at the residency and away at social gatherings.
The program is backed by outstanding, dedicated faculty who teach because they believe in education and family medicine. The staff brings a diversity of experience, education and views to the program. Their caring and dedication to one-on-one teaching allows residents to take responsibility in patient care and development confidence and independence.
The Family Practice Center is a 15,000-square-foot, freestanding facility, located on the hospital's main campus. The center offers 21 exam rooms, as well as offices for residents, faculty and support staff. The center operates on the paperless charting system that allows physicians and staff members to provide and document comprehensive family health care.

Fort Wayne Medical Education Program’s Family Medicine Residency is community-based, unopposed, and dually ACGME/AOA accredited, providing residency education since 1973. Our residents see patients in our NEW 14,000 square foot Family Medicine Clinic with a full Electronic Medical Record implemented and four dedicated procedure rooms. The local medical community and Fort Wayne’s three tertiary hospitals are committed to providing an excellent teaching and learning environment for our residents through clinical rotations and didactics, resulting in well-prepared graduates. Because residents rotate in all three tertiary hospitals with no competing residents, there is an abundance of pathology, patients, learning opportunities, and procedures. Truly the sky is the limit to your education and only limited further by how much you put into it.
We provide a strong OB program where first year residents average 65 deliveries. You have the option for C-Section training as well as an Advanced OB Certification. Extensive procedural training is also available (see our website – endoscopy, colposcopy, treadmill, OB ultrasound, derm, vasectomy, fracture, flex nasopharyngoscopy, etc). Our program gives you the opportunity to tailor your education to fit your future practice.
Fort Wayne is a very affordable and family-friendly city with great cultural, sports, and recreational opportunities. Our city has been named an All American City in 1982, 1998, and again in 2009. Our program provides an excellent salary and benefit package, including a generous housing allowance and health insurance coverage for residents and their families at no cost to the resident. There are several moonlighting opportunities available. We would be honored to have you take a look at our program.

The St. Francis Hospital and Health Centers Family Medicine Residency Program, now 31 years old, continues a legacy of change and innovation while preserving the time honored characteristics of community based, unopposed medical education. Located on the southeast side of Indianapolis, St. Francis is proud of its small community and family physician dominated feel, while enjoying the advantages of being located in a large metropolitan area. The program offers a traditional comprehensive curriculum, and benefits from an exceptionally large number of community based faculty members in addition to our Directors. Ours is a program with superb faculty relationships, a caring and compassionate hospital atmosphere, and focus on a humanistic approach to medical education that supports personal as well as professional growth. We remain as flexible as possible to meet the needs of residents as individuals. Our graduates have entered practice opportunities in suburban Indianapolis, many rural locations throughout Indiana, as well as across the country. Fifty percent of our recent graduates continue to practice obstetrics.
The opportunity to experience a high level of autonomy and responsibility is one of the primary reasons medical students choose to train at St. Francis. Our atmosphere of warmth and informality is one of our greatest strengths. Combined with a beautiful family practice center, high level of hospital support for the program, and first rate procedural equipment, St. Francis attracts the highest quality applicants and enjoys a tremendous track record of success. Changes in progress include the implementation of an Electronic Medical Record system, personal hand-held computers for all residents, and the availability of digital radiologic images in the Family Practice Center. With a solid foundation, enviable history, and strong future support, St. Francis remains an outstanding residency with a regional reputation.
St. Francis Hospital is a very special place, a place of camaraderie within an institution that has not lost sight of its mission. We invite you to visit with us and learn more about residency opportunities.

Want a positive residency experience? At St. Joseph Family Medicine Residency you will embark upon three years that will be filled with rewards and challenges.
Our program is unopposed and dually accredited by the allopathic accreditation body (ACGME) and osteopathic accreditation body (AOA). We provide family-centered care, taking into account the spiritual, psychological, sociological and physical needs of our patients.
Some of our residency goals are:
* To provide a quality program of training and education with a balance between patient service and the active pursuit of knowledge.
* To impart to residents the knowledge and skills necessary to demonstrate competency in both clinical and procedural skills; to train in family-centered care that addresses the longitudinal health care needs of the residents’ patients, focusing on comprehensive preventive health care.
* To provide our residents with an environment that fosters a commitment to providing care to the medically underserved.
* To foster behaviors consistent with the high level of professionalism expected of a family physician and to help residents balance their personal and professional lives.
* To develop in residents an attitude that fosters their maintenance of high quality medical skills after residency.
The International Health Track (IHT) is a unique feature of our program. The IHT is an elective opportunity available to residents during all three years of residency. Its’ purpose is to educate and train residents in the delivery of health care to medically underserved areas in other countries and the United States.
Elective options are available in our Sports Medicine Program as well as Alternative Medicine rotations that residents arrange. Sports Medicine and International Health Track Fellowships are also available.
Please visit our website to learn more about our program. We look forward to the opportunity to get to know you.
