CONFIRMED CASES OF MUMPS AT UNIVERSITIES IN INDIANA

The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH), in collaboration with the respective universities and county health departments, is investigating confirmed outbreaks of mumps in students at two universities in Indiana – Butler University in Indianapolis and Indiana University (IU), Bloomington. An outbreak of mumps is defined as at least 3 cases linked in time or place. At this time no link has been identified between cases at the different universities.
