Increased Risk Of Infections From Medical Tourism

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is investigating eight highly antibiotic-resistant infections of Verona Integron-mediated Metallo-ß-lactamase (VIM)-producing carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (CRPA) among adult patients who underwent surgery or invasive procedures in Mexico within the past year.
