Indiana Clinic - Mollie R. Wheat Memorial - Receives Family Medicine Cares USA Award
AAFP Foundation: An Indiana Clinic - Mollie R. Wheat Memorial - Receives Family Medicine Cares USA Award
We have some great news about the AAFP Foundation's Family Medicine Cares USA (FMC USA) Signature Program. As you may know, FMC USA helps free clinics care for the uninsured in areas of need by helping them purchase tangible items such as exam tables, EHR systems and medical equipment.
Recently, AAFPF awarded a FMC USA grant to an existing student run clinic in the Terre Haute area. The Mollie R. Wheat Memorial Clinic champion and medical director is Family Physician Dr. Randall Stevens. The clinic serves primarily the Terre Haute Indiana area with the intent of caring for the surrounding counties as well, known locally as the Wabash Valley. The IAFP congratulates them and the good work this clinic is doing, and we hope it will create opportunities for AAFP members in their area to volunteer at the clinic.
